What do you guys do to keep the stock steer box alive with lockers or welded carriers? Mine was moist but never dripped till i locked the front up. Now it leaks like an old 6v71. I have to top it off every 2-3 weeks whether the truck is used or not. The steer still feels good, no noises or excessive movement, just leaks like hell. I wish i could put hydrualics on but cant for the class i run.

Maybe a DSS to keep the box in place and add that 3 rd bearing to the bottom, Lots of weight on the from and a locker/Welded carrier with bigger tires really works that poor box back and forth on the bottom end.

Just an idea
Thanks

x2 on the steering box brace. i have one on my truck and love it. and as far as the leak goes.... go get ya some white sheppard stop leak. its good stuff.

What about an AGR hydro assist? They are steet legel and use a stock type steering box... Google AGR and see if ya think their system will work.

The agr rock ram looks like a good thing but they dont have it listed for the 2nd gen dodges. Ill have to get a hold of them and see what they can do. I would have to make a custom dss type brace if i did one of them because of the set up i did for my weight rack.

I will have to do my research. But i have to do something cause i dont know how long my steering box is gonna live.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but why do they not let you run hydro steering??? What advantage would that give you in pulling???
