Stock 6.0 turbo...

Well I pretty much have no clue about anything on the 6.0 so I need some help. My dad works for the local power company and his company vehicle is a 2003 F550 6.0. The truck was in the shop for repairs recently and their service mechanic says the turbo is about to give out. I was just curious where you could find one for a decent price. Theyre just looking for a stock replacement. How hard of a job is it to replace a turbo on one? Seems like I remember seeing somewhere that it was about an 8hour job? Thanks for the help.

Ya its about a 45 to and hour job for me. I believe there are a few stockers for sale on the forum. Check TDG as well.

Im not sure honestly. My dad was just relaying what the service mech. told him. But then again Im not sure how knowledgable they are about them :doh:

Everyone and their brother are trying to buy up 03 turbos so you might have to search alittle bit to find one at a decent price.
