New to the forum and have a couple of questions.

How does a stock 7.3 PSD do?

Does the stock class allow chips and exaust mods?

Will I kill my daily driver if I do this?

Thanks

Yes the stock classes allow chips and exhaust. When you start modifying turbos is when you start jumping class. The work stock is a limin of 2.5 housing which your stock one is smaller then that so you should be fine to pull stock class. it goes work stock 2.5 super street 2.8. Where are you from there will be different rules in different states. My truck is a daily driver and look at mods in sigs. There is quite a few people with dd's that do this just know when to let out.

Kman is just about right on, though some workstocks only allow the stock appearing turbo. Not nessecarily 2.5", just depends on your area though.

Since we are talking about work stock, what about a truck that didnt necessarily have a stock turbo? How would they rule stock appearing turbo. [hijack off/]

Within reason, if you're talking about your IDI, an ATS should be allowed since it was a factory option for later years.

Several 7.3 PSD's used to pull in this area, and did fairly well for being mostly stock. In the last couple years, the trucks that are now pulling are far from stock in the same class. You'll still find a couple guys hooking with them for the fun of it, but it seems like the guy that has the most money in his truck is gonna wax it.

It sucks, it's just the local fair and everyone is out to enjoy themself, but 8 out of 10 trucks show up with over 500 hp easy.

I think you'll be all right pulling just be careful. The first time I registered to pull I chickened out because I seen 2 truck break before it was my turn, I was also 100 miles away from home too. If your gonna pull more then a few times some ladder bars and tranny upgrades may be required. As for winning I never expected to win when I hooked up but just to out do my buddies. I have seen a few stock trucks when on different occasions around here. Just remember to be careful and shouldn't break anything. The most common thing is u joints and have seen a few powerstrokes break front pinions. Just don't go 50 miles away from your house with nobody else with you. In most cases though (MOST) the other pullers will help you out. If you pull any fairs with me I'll be there with a trailer and as long as my truck don't break also we'll be away to tow you home.

Hyde I don't think anybody would complain if you wanted to hook your truck with a 7.3 turbo. I know I wouldn't care if you wanted to pull in the same class as me.

I dont think anyone would thats what I'm hoping for :D also there aren't too many sanctioned events around my parts that I know of so it shouldn't be too big a deal.
