Hey guys, been a cummins man all my life, and i am looking at buying a LBZ. What all performance parts will it hold with stock tranny, and if i was to replace valvebody and torque converter what will it hold, and how much will it run price wise........thanks

i have a ppe standard with the raptor lift pump running on the 225hp setting havent had any trouble with the tranny yet i have been told a copilot by ats i have pulled three times on stock no problems yet i just dont know what torque converter to tell ya im knew to this to haha

You can run what would be close to a 500 hp tune on just a transgo jr. and a good 3 disc converter for a good while. I ran a mid to high 400's tune for a couple years on just the shift kit. No need to replace the whole valvebody, just do the jr. kit; it's around $100 and a suncoast converter will be around $2k

I have been runnin McRat's big tune for a while now with a few pulls on it, has not limped with his tune yet. It is 540-550 RWHP tune. I am sure it won't live long though. I ran another tune that a 450 tune and it limped 2 times so it is all in the tuning IMO. A Jr. kit will help alot, once you burn the clutches you are a ticking time bomb.
