stock turbo question

my stock turbo went to crap after a dropped valve seat and I have read everywhere that there is a data plate on the compressor housing with part number and serial number. Where would i find this info if there is no data plate?

I should have be specific but I bought the truck used and not sure if it was stock turbo and was wanting to know if it was. I know it has a 54 compressor wheel and a 57 turbine wheel. Or at least that is what they measured out to be. But there is no plate to let me know which turbo it actually is.

03/04 came with a HE341(54/58/9)

04.5+ came with a HE351(60/60/9)

ok. thanks. just out of curiosity and for my knowledge I tried looking everywhere for where you get the 9 from. What do you measure? Is that the size of the shaft?

The housing size should be casted onto the housing.

No need to look. Its a 9cm housing.

you can usually only see the 9cm markings at 30ft below sea level

04.5+ came with a HE351(60/60/9)

the he351 is just a 60/58/9 not a 60 turbine. i have had both apart on my bench, the 341 and 351 are the same on the turbine side.
