By plugging the wastegate off on the stock charger, that will let me see more boost right?

Wont hurt anything will it? I know not to go over 40lbs and not to run it that high for to long. Just wanting to see what you all have to say bout it.

Wire it open or plug it off, it's not really needed....till the turbo says **** You!! and goes BOOM!

Then it's time to upgrade :evil

I ran mine plugged for two years with a comp box and it still works just fine. It will reach 40psi easy so watch it or like billygoat said [BOOM].

I did this with mine, with out a boost fooler. I have a new turbo now!

My turbo is stock the highest boost ive seen is like 33 or 34psi. I running a edge drag k-n intake 5in exhuast but whats funny is my egt gauge i was about 1250 deg i really thought it would be alot higher

i would just go buy a new turbo. then if that one goes boom you have a your stock charger to get you by. just my opinion.

I ran mine plugged until the upgrade which was fine but you will lose alot of efficiency after 35-37psi then it will begin to heat the air.

guess i should leave mine alone then it will build about 35 psi of boost

I have fooled around with this in the past and in my experiences I have found no gain in plugging it vs. using a boost elbow. The boost elbow would let it build about 32lbs. With it plugged it would see 40 easy. But there was no difference imo. I would just use a boost elbow and save your turbo and headgasket.

i got the boost elbow with my edge i belive dont hold me to it but mine has a hard line to it no where to put the elbow

Search for j-hook or turnbuckle wastegate mods for the stock hy35 turbo. the hy35 won't do you much good for power over ~32psi. Easy wastegate mod for now or look for a stock hx35 turbo for a couple hundred bucks to get the larger exhaust housing.

If You have the stock HY You are not going to squeze much power out of it anyway. The HX35 or the WH1C with 12cm housing can be found cheap and not restrict Your exhaust as bad. I am considering using an HY in A small twin setup but even then the wastegate has to be modified to flow more than stock.
