Over the last few months I've been having a whirring pulsating noise between 70 and 80 mph. Before 70 and after 80 the truck is nice and quiet. I had a bad wheel bearing which I replace back in december along with the other wheel bearing, balljoints and tierods. I did all of my u joints in the drive shafts and axle shafts too. Had the truck aligined and the tires balanced after I was done. Could it be a bad tire on my truck? I had one replace recently because of a blow out. So I have a thick tire and three thinner ones now. I do have a straight pipe and I know its not the drone from it. Everything else checks out on my driveline so I'm hoping maybe its a tire and I just need new ones.

I went under the truck today and found something that could be my noise/vibration. I found a small dent (about the size of a dime) near the front yoke of the rear driveshaft. Its on the tube next to the weld. I'm starting to think that maybe this dent could be a possibility. Since I have this small dent would I have to replace the whole shaft or could a shop fix it? ALso about how much isa fix and how much is a new shaft? Thanks

Update, I found a ujoint in my driveshaft was too tight and was causing the noise I was hearing. I had taken the shaft out after work today inspected the ujoints and found one to be pretty stiff to rotate. I tapped around it with a hammer and loosened it up. Reinstalled the shaft now the noise is pretty much gone except for my out of round crappy goodyear tires and my straight pipe.
