strong oil smell

i have a 89 dodge that i put a 95 Ppump motor in.i only drive it occasionally and noticed recently that after driving it a few miles once i get out there's a very strong burnt oil smell,it almost smells like gear lube but it's difficult to tell.i cannot find any kind of oil leak from the motor or front axle which is the area where the smell is.the 95 is a transplant i did in place of the orig.ve motor.i'v had the truck on the road since sept.2011,smell started about 2 months ago.any help or input would be appreciated.:thankyou2:

how much blowby does it have? that sounds like what you are smelling.

rotella oil? that can do it, if you've not been driving it far recently it'll make it worse seems like.
