01 auto 2500 has ats contverter, quad adr smarty 150 inbjectors. acts like its stuck in drive u put it in neutral and it still goes forward, throw it in revese itr dont move, put it in park it dies, what could be the problem?
 
Forward clutches are welded up, or the bevel spring broke and they're mechanically applied all the time. It only dies in park?????? Lock-up is impossible in 1st with a "stock" 47RE VB, so that may suggest converter is bad???
 
i dont have the slightest clue i was driving it and it was going fine then all of a sudden it just messed up and im not a big transmission guy
 
no i got a family member that has done transmissions all his life he is gonna fix then im gonna get a deep dish pan and hope that will prevent it from happening again. maybe keep is cooler as im about to put a s300 and a set 200 hp injectors
 
A pan will hold more fluid and run things cooler but it won't prevent this from re-occuring. You need a VB or shift kit of some kind atleast. Awesome, I wish you the best with it!
