stupid water in fuel light

i have pumped fuel out of my filter housing several times with the little pump handle on the filter canister several times but the water in fuel light keeps comming on any ides

Sensor might be bad

If this has been happening for awhile and during multiple tanks of fuel I would also say that the sensor is bad
