Super Singles instead of dualls?

So I'm thinking about trying to run a Super Single wheel and tire on the back of my dually instead of dualls. And I want the tire and wheels like they put on semi's. Does anybody know where you can find these? how much they cost? and wehre you can buy the adapters? Thanks!
 
You can order the tires from the place that sell the wheel's usually.

Seen a couple on dually's and rid in a slammed on with it. Seem's to smooth the ride out.
 
I really like the idea of being able to get 100k out of a set of tires, and not having to rotate dually wheels anymore. If it smooths the ride out too that would be great!

Just texted my buddie say's that his cousin is running Michelin's he ordered them direct don't know how much.

I just know that they are big and he leaves on a dirt rod they grip pretty well for a on the road tire.
 
You can also check with Rickson on their site. They make direct bolt on 8 lug 19.5s
 
Ive had my duals for 3 years and never rotated them. Still ride awesome. I was told never to rotate them after i had them trued and balanced. I think youll end up spendin more money buyin singles for the rear and dually rims for the front

I looked at those, I just dont want those tires they have, I want the actuall tires that are used on a semi. The load rating is higher and i'm sure you can get way more miles out of them...
 
Then you are going to get the Michelin's my friends cousin is running I have no idea what he is running up front though.

Just keep in mind that a lot of folks running semi tires (either the skinny's or the super singles) aren't happy with the ride quality because of how stiff the sidewall is.
 
Im happy with mine. Of course theyre a little stiff goin over railroad tracks or potholes but its well worth it imo. ive had my tires for 3 years and probably have another 3 years to go. Depending on how much you drive theyre going to last a long time

The link shown is for "single wheel" truck upgrades. It don't show them for duallys unless I completely missed it.

I think super singles would suck (only my opinion). They will hyro-plane like crazy when it rains and you won't have any room to carry a spare unless you put it in the bed. What happens if you blow one out away from home? I guess you could put the factory spare on it but that will look ghey. I can't say that I'd be a fan of them, but just giving you food for thought.
 
Im not a big fan of duallys in the front and singles in the rear but each to his own not trying to put down the idea. I know a guy around here that had duallys in the rear and singles in the front and that looks a little better imo but that takes some lift

I didn't think about hydroplaining, but I can't see it being much worse than duals?
I dont think there is much chance of blowing a tire out on a one ton truck, and I have everything to fix a flat on the truck...

I'm dunno, its just something I've been thinking about doing.
I was hoping somebody knew how much they cost?.
 
You might get lucky checkin out some junkyards and find some in descent enough shape to bring back to life. Thats how i got mine and i paid a couple hundred for my wheels saved me alot of money
 
445/50R22.5 Michelins X-ONE's are gonna run you $1,150 plus a tire! They are a great ribbed tire for all a round driving. I run them on the fleet trailers here on the coast and I have a excavation company running them on a 06 Dually that was converted to super singles in the rear and 275/80R22.5 Michelin XZEs in the front. They are the same overall rolling diameter so it won't hurt your 4wd. Be prepared to drop a very large chunk of change for the conversion. You'll need at least a leveling kit in the front to clear the tires but the rear is fine stock. Rear wheels are gonna be around $650-800. Best bet is to find someone switching back to duals that has a set of tires and wheels for sale. Check you local tire company that deals with big fleet trucks and see if they have any. Chris
 
Damn I didn't know that they where that much.

Ouch they are the only super singles I know out.
