NHRDA Triple Play Weekend July 25th 2009
NHRDA competitors set 6 new national records in 1 day
On July 25th 2009 the NHRDA presented the first ever Triple Play weekend which included events in Mohnton Pennsylvania , Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Spokane Washington. This action packed weekend brought out the best competitors in North America to compete in the MBRP Diesel Drag Race Series, and by the end of the day 6 new national records were achieved in the NHRDA Super Street Category.
NHRDA Super Street Class National Records as of July 24th 2009
Rob Coddens -10.60ET at 129.60MPH
The NHRDA kicked off the day Saturday morning on the east coast and Jeff Dean had his sights on the record and was very confident he would break the current record and back it up, and sure enough he broke the current record with ease.
Maple Grove Raceway- Division 5 points race
Jeff Dean ran a 10.56Et at 129.70MPH and backed it up running 10.62Et at 130.10
Jeff’s trucked weighed in at 6025lbs to meet NHRDA required 6000lb minimum class rule.
As the Maple Grove event was coming to an end the event in Saskatoon Alberta was starting their qualifying rounds and the word had spread about the new national record and Aaron Schaff driver of the CT Performance truck was up for the challenge and by the end of the event Aaron was the new Super Street record holder.
Saskatoon Raceway –Division 6 points race
Aaron Schaff ran a 10.38et at 130.82MPH and backed it up running a 10.44Et at 129.58MPH
Aaron’s trucked weighed in at 6165lbs to meet NHRDA required 6000lb minimum class rule.
Then out to west coast to Spokane Washington were the NHRDA was having a night race in Division 1. Rob Coddens had gotten word that his record had been broken not once but twice. Rob assured Division 1 Race Director Randy Cole that by the end of the event the Maxed Out Racing team would once again own the Super Street National record. Keeping true to his words Rob retained his National Record status within 8 hours of losing his record and once again is the NHRDA Super Street National record holder.
Spokane County Raceway- Division 1 points race
Rob Coddens ran a 10.07Et at 136.58 and backed it up running a 10.10Et at 137.18MPH
Rob’s trucked weighed in at 6120lbs to meet NHRDA required 6000lb minimum class rule.
The NHRDA would like to congratulate Jeff, Aaron and Rob and thank them for providing the most action packed day in the history of the NHRDA
