swaping in a dana 80

working on putting my 80 in my truck from a 70 and i heard i had to shortin my drive shaft an inch just want to make sure its true the rear end i got was from a 01 like mine but was a long box ext cab and mines a short box

Put it in and try it..I have a slip yoke in mine and it went in with out shortening. You've prob. seem my other post about it..
