So just how tough would this be and what all parts would I need? Anybody done it before? :D

The auto in my '94 2wd regular cab is a little worn and I planned to eventually put a manual in it anyway.

Not a big deal, 2WD or 4WD?

You will need tranny, clutch, pedals, and drive shaft (or at least the yoke). I had to have my drive shaft shortened a little, the yoke was eating output seals on the tranny. Some wiring will need to be done for safety switches and reverse lights and I pulled the bulb on the trans temp light. You will need to keep your TPS for the cruise to work.

I just sold everything you would need except hydraulics for $1500 just to give you an idea.

I put a 47rh in mine and took the nv 4500 out. I traded a kid. We traded front driveshafts, pedals, had to get my rear driveshaft shortened . So yours would need to be lengthened. Also there is a connector under the dash and on the auto it has a jumper wire between the terminals and on the 5 speed the clutch switch plugs in. It wasn't bad at all.

Did mine in a couple of days solo, lengthened rear drive shaft and also went with heavier wall tubing, shortened front, tranny mount and crossmember are the same but the mounting plate on the auto vs. Man is different ( one with the exhaust hanger attached) I just fab'd a new one up. Pedals are a easy swap along with clutch hydros. Reverse switch is two crimps to make it work. And a plasma job on the floor pan for the hole, I picked up a 98 floor console for it.
