Switching to Synthetic Oil

That's what I run. It's ~$17/gal and free oil samples from the distributor up in Jerome, ID... Magaw Dist.

Found a local source for the Schaefer's 5w-40 for $20 a gallon. I'm going to have to try now that it's cheaper than any other I can find.

i gotta give it a try this weekend...it's been Rotella dino for me for 75K miles... curious to see if there's a difference...

i used the premium blue 15-40 at my last oil change about 2 weeks ago..this morning it was 35* and I really couldn't believe how smooth the idle was..i'm used to a little shake when it's cold and this morning it felt like a gasser..next change will be the Syn 5-40...i'm a believer...thanks guys..:rockwoot:

Factory trans fluid is full synthetic. So is the Factory diff lube. 75w-140 in the 10.5 axles and 75w-90 in the dana 80.

:thankyou2:
First time hearing of this stuff. I assume that it is also better than Amsiol?
I've been on the Amsoil 15w40 marine for 146k now. What would happen if I change now ? I can get a blend syn. 15w40 I believe is Amalie for free ? What would you do ?
