With the current T4 manifolds, if you mount it upside down(twins) does the pad(flat surface the exhaust housing bolts to) sit higher than a standard T3 mounted the same way? My engine compartment is vertically challenged.

I thought the 1st gens had more room?

Do pictures exist of your truck Ron? LOL I have heard a ton about it and talked with you but never saw your truck. I'd love to see it, especially the engine bay!

x2! It must be a total sleeper...

I could take some measurements off my manifold tonight if you need me to. Maybe someone already knows though?

Ron,

Camparing a PDI T-4 to a HTT T-3 the center of the ports are almost identical height. The top bolt holes are higher by about 1/2" on the T-4because of the bolt pattern difference.

Thanks Nathan. Center of the ports was the place to measure( I should have written that). I looked at a couple of T4's yesterday. I wish the HTT stainless 3rd gen one was backwards from what it is. It would be perfect if the turbo was a bit forward with the manifold upside down. I'm going to try and get a couple of measurements from the turbo shop so i can trig out what the height is going to be. i might have to get creative on the w/g spacer if it's too high.

This is the only engine picture I have right now. I'd take a better one, but the chargers are removed at the moment.

I haven't made a big mistake all year. Figured it was time.

Don't know Ron, after seeing the T-4 manifold I seriously doubt I'll ever go the T-3 route again, even with my 40/3B setup it will have a T-4 manifold with an E.D. 4-3 spacer and gate.

I'm hoping i won't have the same problem as your 1st gen. Manifold came yesterday, turbo won't be here till the end of next week. I will lay it on top of the t3 manifold and see what it looks like. If it's not going to at least be close, I'll just sell it. Better to loose a couple hundred dollars than to waste a week of my scarce spare time on a turbo I know almost nothing about.

I may want the manifold if you part with it. My converter should be here today. Brett and I are going to do some DV testing this weekend. Ill give you a call and let you know how it goes
