Tach not working

This is my first time posting. But, I have a 2001 2500 HO with a 6spd and around 205k miles. That about 10k miles ago the tach would intermittently not work, then at about 5k miles ago it stopped working altogether. Until about 1000 miles ago the gas gauge quit working now the tach intermittently is working again but in very short burst. Any suggestions?

I haven't checked anything electric issues I have never tried to remedy myself, but am trying to learn. What would I be checking just that the plugin hasn't tried to slip?

Yea just yank the speedo, I've seen those plugs get corroded. Better to start simple.
