how do you install your gaskets? with sealant (high tack, copper spray, RTV) or dry? and what have been the results?

Pan sealant on the corners where the front and rear covers meet the block. I always sand the tappet cover flange and install dry to prevent slippage of the rubber gasket.

Permatex hi tack on the sheetmetal pieces and stick the gasket to it. It is very gluey stuff. Also if you have to pull the pieces off for whatever reason the gasket is almost always reusable.

The right stuff from permatex and
international gray
toyota fipg
hondabond
yamabond
landrover/ jag gasket maker is all reletively the same stuff and works great

tappet cover should go on dry to the block. Glue to the cover portion fine
but slippery on the block will make you cuss.
