Tappet Gasket Question

I got these with my tappet gasket from the parts store. When I pulled the tappet cover these weren't on it. Is this how these go or do I even need them?

Hmmmm.....I don't remember those on mine when I did it. I just got the gasket though from Napa.

Stock cummins come with a little gasket type washer under the bolt, I have seen these washers with the rubber used before, need something to seal the holes up though

The big threaded bolts go in the back two holes, then a 10 mmbolt then a threaded and the front two are 10mm bolts
Atleast on my 01 that's how it is!
