temp control knob, cable pulled off blend door

Any shortcuts to re-installing the cable from the temp control knob to the blend door? Looks like the whole dash has to come out to get at it. Unless I could sneak a small camera in there to guide tools around.
My kludge till I can get it fixed was to cut a hole in the glove box and pull the arm manually.

You can have the dash out in about 15 min. if you want. 8mm (across the top by windshield), 13mm (door post under kick panel, just loosened) 13mm for steering column, and a phillips screw driver for every thing else. Its a easy job with a buddy.
