I've been busy this week with my 99' and put a Goerend triple disc, Jammer 4's, and the Smarty(on 9) on. Also has open intake and 4-inch. I'm just not really impressed by this thing yet. My brothers 12v (sig) is way faster. I need a valve body because it revs to like 3400 before it shifts, also doesn't shift that well. The trans is stock other than the converter so I know the VB will help a lot. But I just feel like thats it? Whats wrong here? I added the injectors last and they didn't seem to do much. I need to get my jvd box on tho, anybody know what wires to tap for that box? Thanks
 
A good convertor would help you out.

I drove a 01 not long ago that I did some work on along with another friend. I didn't realize how terrible the stock convertors are. I bought my truck with a rebuilt trans and the cheap convertor installed was WAY WAY better than this even.
 
You've probably only got about 350-400hp a best. Get a wire tap box (Drag Comp, TST, Adrenaline, etc) and I'll bet that truck will surprise the heck out of ya.
 
the smarty dont fuel on the top end. just real hard on the bottom

You do tap the wire on the JVD box, but it is fuel only. The DUMBY adds the timing for ya.
 
What are you doin for a Fuel system? If you dont have something otherthan stock then put all of this on hold until you get that done or you wont have a VP before to long.
 
You for sure need a fuel system before anything. And i made 425Hp with those injectors. And if your trany isnt shifting right you will feel like your truck runs like crap. A good vb and convert will do wonders on how well the truck hits each gear. And with just a smarty your only getting bottom end power.

Am i missing something what the heck is a JVD box???
 
JVD torque enhancer box, kinda an oldschool box. And yeah I need to do something about the fuel system. I have a fuel pressure guage but its not workin(I posted about it) Should have a VB this week. But the truck seems really strong just the tranny aint right, noticed it a lot today.
 
Nope. Every once in a while there is one up for sale. What you got? Maybe we could do a little testing and trade for a week or so.
 
Well after more time behind the wheel I think its got more go go than I thought. Trans is just really goofy without the VB. I can't tell you what its got for fuel pressure because I'm having problems with the guage. TravisG do you remember off hand which wires to tap for the JVD?
 
Yeah, you need that valve body. You probably need to turn the line pressure up a little more while your doing that valve body.
 
Any recomendations for the fuel system? Fass 150 or just a differnt lift pump???
