(The) Garmon

Back a few years ago, I was at a dyno day at Jeffs. I had been monkeying with a truck all morning and had not been able to mill around and talk to many folks.... At any rate, I stepped outside to see a truck on the dyno, and I saw a fella pinting at something and telling his girlfriend:
"Look- that is him, that is "the" Jeff Garmon!"

I looked at him and said "you know what, if you go up to him and talk, "the Jeff will talk back to you......"

I then re-told the story about how Jeff had finally arrived several times that day and I guess it stuck.
 
If I remember correctly it happened in 01-15-2007 Garmons Dyno Event
 
Biggy, I fixed your thread title so as not to be confused with ordinary Garmons of the world. The Jeff would not appreciate that. :hehe:
 
since we don't have " knighting " in our country, the next best thing is the title " Thee " When you become a guru at your trade ( which btw, takes many, many years ) you're entitled to a title :-)
 
thats why im THE school bus. as not to be confused with some other dude floatin around here lol
 
Good..... I was floating around the hotel in bowling green last year looking at trucks and listening to people raise hell...... when a chevy full of just that sort came by and told me I didn't need to be looking at that piece of ****.
After unloading themselves and their beer, they made their way back over to where I was Eye-F^&%^&$# what, if I remember correctly, was morrisons Mamba on a trailor.

I asked the group of them who built it and who drove it.... They all indicated "Jeff" who at that point introduced himself. I shook his hand and thought nothing more of it... They offered me a beer and asked if I was racing the next morning. It was at that point that I looked at him and said "Jeff" with an interogative tone and he replied Garmon...... To which I simply replied "Wow."

So every time I see "The Jeff Garmon" posted... I feel like the biggest asshole.
 
Really just a gunuine good guy! I have spoken to him on the phone many times and he will take the time out of his busy schedule to help ya out!
