The right gear?

Ok, i have a 05' 6.0L superduty 4x4 and i run 285 A/T's, i have seen a lot of different opinions on what gear to pull in, i am new to pulling and i want to hear what the majority has to say, all help and advice is greatly appreciated.

My brother in laws 05 would run third most of the time and depending on the track could sometimes grab fourth. This was with an SCT tuner and with the converter locked up from second gear on. No weight bar on it either. And had 33x12.50 MTZ's on it. Maybe this will help you out some.

Since you have a 6.0 I would say keep it in 1st gear, LO range
