what is the thread size for shift knob in a six speed? is it m10x1.5 course?

That sounds right, but I THINK it's a bit finer, more like a 1.25 or 1. If I can remember to do so tonight I'll get a few dies and check it.

yes it is. you do not need any thing to make you you do any stupid. i had some ****ers that i made that are shorter and had 1/2-20 on the end so you can use any aftermarket nob.
