throttle position sensor?

my friend needs a new throttle position sensor for her 99 24v. The auto parts store told her this. i have no idea where to get a cheap one. any ideas guys?

do they not go bad, but just need to be adjusted?

Sometimes a reset or adjustment helps. Mine likes to just be disconnected then re-connected a few times because of a discolored pin which I guess gets warm and varnished.
