My truck has been doing some wierd things for the last month. Sometimes I hammer it & it runs like a rabbit chasing tail, other times it falls on its face. One time it will throw a Map sensor voltage too high code, other times APPS voltage codes, other times a CKP sensor detects overspeed code. My truck usually will rev past 4k smooth, but now it won't go over 3550rpm without cutting out & throwing codes.

It was running good for 2 days & I tried sled pulling with it, revved to 3850rpm & it fell on its face to 3350 going down the track, but sounded smooth. No smoke, low power, but still sounded smooth.

The CKP code is most common, so I bought that sensor & I'm going to change that first. Being that it throws these other codes makes me think ecm? What you guys think it could be?

When my ecm went out it was throwing low voltage codes for the apps and water temp, so as an added benefit the ecm thought it was defueling so it cut back power =\

Check all your grounds first.

I had corrosion on the battery terminals & I replaced them all. I'll try checking the grounds also. Thanks

i replaced my apps with one of timbo's apps units and havent seen that code since...

Whats involved with installing a Timbo unit? I've heard you gotta cut the wiring harness, true? I'm not sure if this is possible, but can a bad crank sensor cause all of these codes?

i didnt cut the wiring harness....just unplugged the old one, plugged the new in, bolted it up, checked the voltages and that was it. the instructions explain everything well.

When my crank sensor went bad the truck would break up, and the tach would jump all over. Some times tach would go dead.

My tach is working fine, I've been watching it. I'm thinking the ecm is going dead.
