Any advice or tricks? Just had the balljoints replaced. Mechanic said the tierod ends were worn.

Thanks

Nope. Count the number of threads showing on the old tie rod, beat it out of the steering knuckle, unthread the old one, screw the new one in the same number of threads, reinstall it in the steering knuckle. Fairly straight forward.

I'd recommend upgrading them rather than just replacing them.

Lukes Links impressed the hell out of me. When I get around to doing mine, I will be using them:

Be careful, some aftermarket ends are slightly different lengths than the stock ones. My recommendation is to take a tape measure and measure from a point on the link to the grease fitting on the rod end, then replace with the same measurement.

Thanks for the info. I heard you could use a tierod and draglink from a 98 truck to replace the existing linkage. Has anyone done this? I guess it gives you a solid tie rod.
