Tie rods, pitman arm, and idler arm. Do these need to be upgraded?

Its for a 01 2wd with 150k.

Is there better options or is oem good enough?

Thanks!

Is there something wrong with them or you just want to replace them? As somebody who has done everything in the front end recently I would say if it ain't broke don't fix it. When they finally get worn out then obviously replace them but until then save your money.

They shot, making my truck pull to the left. Went to get an alignment and they told me they were worn out.

What brand did you go with?

I would just go with after market replacement. I got all moog stuff for mine, I just like their products and they have been around for a long time.

I'm suprised all that stuff went bad I have seen 2wd's with alot more miles and solid as a rock.

Yeah if they are shot replace them. I used all Napa chassis parts. I'm happy with them so far.

Wheres the best place to get them from?

I replaced the track bar and one of my tie rod ends this past weekend and it cleaned my steering up quite nicely. Went with the Moog parts from OReiley's. Its a world of difference from what it was. The truck has 270k +...

Looking back I would get a different track bar. One without that stupid tie rod style joint on the pitman arm although for now I'm happy with it. It will wear out eventually again though.

moog parts......just make sure whatever parts you buy have a warranty, ya never know if they are made out of some bad metal or something, one part out of every 10 will not last as long as the next

or when your truck is lifted like mine it is a part monster lol

Thanks for the replies.

I decided to just change the pitman and ider arms and see how it feels. The tie rods don't look bad.
