Timing boxes w/ the Monster pump?

just wondering if anyone is adding timing to their Monster pump with a box? This Q is more for compitition pick-ups, I only sledpull w/ mine. I talked with Mike & he said I didnt need it, but he didnt say it wasnt possible. I run fuel only and im quite pleased with my set up, im just curious what others are doing.
 
i run an edge juice for timing with my redline. Put a smarty and gave it 12 more HP. Pulls sleds pretty good.
 
Try a Type R timing box ( power puck, ez ) old style that plugs into the pump only.
 
I'm using aTST comp with mine. Love it. Weazel is usin an Edge Comp and hes doin pretty well himself. The Smarty is what Dosent get along with the monster. Its just to much fuel, And hard to drive around daily. So leve smarty on fuel saver or sw3 and tst on 4. I've never had TST above 7 due to egt's (i get the 66 charger on wed) but i'm sure i will go to that level soon enough. What revision pump do you have?

What Revision pump you running? Weazels got the 4 and mines 4.5. and what speeds (if any) do you have surges?

What do you mean by revision pump? I bought the pump at the start of the year if that helps your question? Surges happen at 1,000 - 1,650 rpms ( 25-60 mph)
 
On the side of the pump it will say REV ##. Just some seem to act differently than others. I just went out for a joy ride to try out the new turbo and i got this wierd "blasting" out of the exhaust. Its still smooth power just sounds aweful. Anyone els Running TST?
 
Having a REALLY messed up sound out of the Exhaust at WOT. The power is smooth, But the sound is nothing like the drone of the exhaust its a "blasting" blurry loud deep toned sound. With the Smarty out and the TST off it still pulls really hard at 2700rpms (auto) and the sound goes away. Smarty almost kills my truck down low with smoke and the TST gives it that "missfire???" I'm not sure if its something with the injectors or if its the fact TST has no timing and smarty has to much timing. I got a friend with the Drag comp and his is great. And Everyon with an Adrenalin seems to be fine as well. Anyone els running TST with a monster?

Thats some messed up sounding power. lol. I'm thinking about ditching smarty and tst comp for an ADR. It seems to be workin well on these monster vp's. Anyone wanna trade?

What year do you have? I'll trade my Adrenaline for your Smarty and TST, lol. I had a TST Comp and loved it...
 
98.5 dont think it'll work out to well. I love the TST and REALLY love the smarty but their not workin out anymore for what I got and idk if just need to spend more time with it or what...But i've tried several diff settings with the smarty. If you can get Quad to set you up with an adrenaline for a 98.5 I think we can mabey work something out.So you have the monitor as well?

To bring this back from the dead... I did end up going with the ADR. With the comp tune and the new turbo (66) Its pretty streetable. Smokes like a mother if i'm not careful, EGT's still around 2k at WOT. Its a smoother power ramp. Not sure if I liked the TST better though. Im not sure what timing the ADR adds. I do know that its an added power through the rpm's as the TST was off until it read boost then a violent burst of power. I'm thinking about the TST with an Edge EZ.

You would be better off downloading Pulse version 1.3.2 & get the custom tuning loaded. You will be able to dial it in. The custom tuning softwares are going up on the website as I type this.
 
zach: how high have you taken it in rpm's?

still bouncing off the rev limiter. ??
