well i've searched a few sites and havent really found an answer im looking for. Right now im running Bfg a/t's, pulled about 10 times last year with and they were around 50-60% tread then and are now prolly around 40% tread now so im gonna want to get some new tires before pulling season starts. I know a lot of guys run the bfg at's but im looking at running something different. I'm looking for a good wearing tire on the road that will bite good at the track, most tracks around my area are fairly hard packed surfaces. I'd like to try some truxus tires out but heard that they dont last long at all on the street. Also been looking at toyo mt's but heard they bite to much and like to break stuff so im not really sure what to go with. I've got 18" rims and im running 285s now what do you guys think would be a good tire for me?? THanks

I ran Master Craft Courser C/T's last season drove to almost every pull. They work good if you don't make too much power for them.

BFG AT would be my first choice, the coursers have a similar tread pattern.

Kumho road venture a/t kl78 held up good for me last year and hooked up good on the track. I will have them and the swamper truxus m/t for next year. I would go to a 33x12.50 also. just my two cents

Toyo MT dont wear very well on the street either, I would stick with the BFG's

I got 46,000 miles out of mine with sled pulling, drag racing, towing and some nasty burnouts. The wear pattern on the Toyo MT's was the best I have ever seen out of a mud terrain tire.

x2, I like my Toyo MT's also. Getting very good wear out of mine so far. But, I can't disagree with BFG AT's being a good all around tire.

tires

Most in my area on the dodges run cooper stt tires, wear good too, but our tracks are not usually hard packed, we need to dig.

I did end up going back to BFG AT's for daily driving and am going to get a set of SST's for pulling.

i tried looking for a bfg at 33x12.5x18 and they dont make such a tire...They do make a 305/65/18 and a 305/60/18....which of those would be closer to a 33" tire?

I checked the 4lo.com tire calculator and this is there measurements,

-305-60-18= 32.4"-12"

-305-65-18= 33.6"-12"

What about the ATZ's? I thought I had heard of some guys that were having some good luck with these pulling?

you can get a 325/60/18, which is a 33"x13" tire. I could be wrong.

looks like the mtz would be better than the atz's anyone have any experience with them?

where are you guys ordering your trxus sts's at?? im looking at some 33x12.5x18s and the cheapest i have found them is about 270 bucks. Is that a good price?? How long should i expect these things to last?
