I've been researching this for weeks now, and I've gottena lot of conflicting info, so iwas hoping to see if any of you had experience with this. I'm needing a new set of tires here soon, and i ve been looking at trying to fit a set of 245/75/16s on the truck. Its a stock 97 dually, with the 4 hole rims. I've heard they will fit in the back without the tires rubbing, and that they won't. I'm not looking at running spacers, so do I need to stay with the 235s I have on there now, or could I fit the 245s? Pics if they do fit would be great. Thanks!

235 is about the widest you want to go on those wheels. If you find a set of '01-'02 wheels you could do 245's easily.

245's are shorter than th 235's if i was going to put something else other than 235's i would put 265's on it.

I ran a 255.85.16 w/ out spacers and no rubbing on stock rims. 99 four hole wheels

Man, you fellas have to be running empty. Do you still have no rubbing or contact with say 3k over the axle???

255/85/16's. Unfortunately theyre on aftermarket wheels. Not sure how they compare on width to your factory wheels.

Im about ceratin my friends girlfriend has that tire on her 98 3500 w/stock wheels. I will ask him about the clearance between the rears.

Those look good

i am running 265/75/16's on mine, you need a 1 inch spacer do make them happy, which you dont want.

go for the 255's , you will be close but should be ok depending on tire choice
