Tire size??

I mostly run the FPP and NWPA Pullers events, however this coming year I am also thinking of attending some EEP, DHRA, and any other, Ohio, Indiana, WV and regional events. For those who normally compete in these events, is there any tire size specification? The classes I would compete in would be the 2.6, and the 2.8 inducer. I have heard of most places using a 35" tire limit, but is that 35" as measured, or what the sidewall of the tire states? Any info would be useful.
 
I pull with FPP and NWTPA and neither have a rule on tire size for either street diesel or hot stock diesel, and DHRA as of 07's rules didnt have a tire size limit. Also I wouldnt recommend pulling with a tire larger than a 35" though IMO, 33's seems to be about the best but some guys have done alright with 35's. Where are you from in Pa if you dont mind me asking.
