Titanium

Question is does a 5.9 cummins use titanium in any of the motor components. I rec,d oil test results saying titanium is 18.5 ppm. Only change was the turbo? Is it possible the new turbo uses Ti say in the shaft?

Does it have titanium valve spring retainers? I don't think there's any ti in babbit material, I can't think of anything else off hand.

Looks like Kendall and maybe Castrol use titanium ditheocarbamate as an anti wear additive to replace zddp.

Been doing some research apparently borgwarner uses titanium for the compressor wheel.

The turbo I bought from bd diesel is in fact a borgwarner. Valvoline premium blue 15w40 is not using titanium additive from researching. So will sample the oil later and see.
