I was just wondering if a new ECM from say a 99 or 2000 truck would get rid of the Tq managment the same way a BD RAD would. I was just thinking if it would work and I could find one cheap enough I woulddnt have to turn it on and off and all the guages would work.

Just get a RAD then you will have no speed limiter at all times, then flip the switch and no TQ management.

I'm leaning that way. But If I put a smarty on and reset the speed limiter it will stay that way though. I sold my smarty and it will still run well over 100mph.

Smarty only removes 80% of the TQ management. I noticed a big difference when I went to the RAD>

I know that that's why it went down the road but I could use it to raise the speed limiter. That will stay even when returned to stock.

smarty revo will completly remove the torque management and there is not speed limiter on the vp trucks

Does anyone know if the tq managment works off TPS% or boost pressure?

is tq managment on all 2001's or just auto's
i pretty sure it could not know what gear my tranny is in.
