I have a 01 dodge with no mod but the plans are to put in my H2 cam, edge comp, and mach 2 or mach 4 sticks, I am shooting for 450hp to 550hp. I am tring to get everyones opinion about what twin set up I should go with, I tow somewhere between 5000-12000lb of live stock and some times I have to move 20,000lb of hay. I was thinking of a hx 35/40 over a s400 or a garret 4202. But there are way to many choose from :bang, and every time I talk to a loacal diesel guy the first thing that pops into there head is BD I have nothing bad to say about BD I just don't want BD. So thank for all the help.

Industrial injection uses a K31 for their lower charger in their towing twins - somewhat smaller than an S400.

There should be some guys chiming in .. I think there are guys running that setup you mentioned..

For a tow setup you can run you hx35 with a gt4202. Very quick to spool and great air for up to 500hp or a little more.

Replace the HX35 with a HX40 and some decent external gates and you can push it to an easy 600.

you can step down to a 4294 70mm vs 74mm(4202) another option is the 4094(67mm) the gt40 has more wastegate option then the 42s

a 4094 is 1800 and the 42s are ~2100

all of them are good for over 600hp worth of air.

This guy is on the nazi site.

P.S. Get in chat dummy. The folks in there are discussing fords.

For the top turbo I ment it to be a hx 35/40 hybred, know for the next question should I o ring the head or fire ring it. I all ready plan on running stud, any opinion would be helpfull thanks again.

This is my set-up. I have a DodgeZilla 35/40 over a s475. I also run Mach 4's, 3.55's and 285/16's with a 5 speed. I also have studs, but thats all. Typically 40 psi of boost is all I ever go to. The twin set can make 60 psi with not much trouble.

I have zero problems with EGT's 95% of the time. I don't tow as heavy as you do though, but typically 1000-1100F pulling a grade @ 55 mph (2200 rpm) in 4th is normal.
