What exactly does the throttle input accomplish in regards to the transmission and how it functions?
I know more than a few people are running a pot to handle this.
I'm interested in knowing if it's worth while to add a 5v circuit from my arduino and use it for tuning or real time control instead of fixed throttle input.

I guess I will have to set it up and find out for myself. So far all I have noticed is a change in the MPH for 3rd to engage.

OK. I am going to try and include it in my next prototype .

Any idea why the ecm has to see a change in speed to lockup? It will only lock up (ecm controlled) if the speed drops just a little. It can be as subtle as hitting a hill.

The best I can figure is that the ecm doesn't have a good ground. If my controller locks, it does it immediately. If the pcm does it, it could run a mile or more before it will lock up in od.

96 model pcm. 47re Trans.
If I do what I have in mind it will only need the pcm for governor control.
