Just had my TPS replaced and calibrated. Everything seems fine except the throttle doesn't respond in the first 3/4 of an inch or so. Before when I just tapped the throttle it responded. Is this normal? Was it not calibrated correctly?

Nope doesn't sound like it was calibrated properly. First of all when tightening it down all the slack between the notch and blade needs to be taken out. Second the installer needs to carefully take the voltage reading while adjusting the stop screw and then as soon as the voltage begins to rise he needs to stop and back it off 1/3 to 1/2 turn. When done properly the engine will respond about as soon as you start depressing the go pedal. . . maybe 1/4" inch pedal travel max.
