Hey guys, i have a 99 24v which is mostly stock except for 40 horse injectors and exhaust and lock up switch like everyone else, but this weekend i put a fass fuel syster in it and i know it has really nothing to do with the tranny but when i went to drive the truck i now dont have 4th gear. the tranny shifts kinda ****ty as well and will just not even attempt to drop into 4th. lock up still works but no forth. i brought it to a tranny shop and they ran the computer on it and it brought up high voltage from the TPS, TCC seloniod shorted or open and another code which was because of the jumper wire in place of the transmission relay. has anyone else had this problem? the truck has 176,000 miles on it and the tranny was rebuilt fully at 100,000 miles.
thanks guys

Kinda off topic but if u put a 33 ohm resistor on the ground side of the lock up switch u can put the relay back in it their like $1 at radioshack for 5

I believe there is a diagram posted in this section for a better lock up switch through the computer. I believe 4x4dually (I think) mentioned it. Also, it's also mentioned that you might want to have some better parts in the trans before adding a lock up switch. That is what has kept me away. You might want to put wiring back to stock and see what happens.

That $2 switch has made more money for tranny builders than you can imagine.

Yeah. I had issues with lock up. Pulled the Van Aaken box that came on the truck off, reset APPS, and made sure voltage to computer was good. Not it locks up and I have to really give it some work to get it to unlock. I'd ditch the lock up switch on the stock trans, do a filter fluid exchange, maybe remove any aftermarket boxes and see what happens.

Best of Luck.
