Tranny Problem

I have a fully built race tranny from DTT. I recently broke the input shaft. I replaced the shaft, converter.... Put it back together and this is the problem. When I first get in the truck, put it in gear and pull off, it doesnt want to shift into second until I get the rpm up to about 2200 then let off the gas a bit then it will bang into the next gear. After that it shifts like it is supposed to, even when I put it in park then back in drive. But if I shut the truck off, it will do it again. Someone told me it could be a scratched valve in the valvebody, from a piece of metal when the shaft broke. What do you guys think. Thanks, Chris:bang

Call your DTT vendor. After all, you paid them for the parts, why not get the service... My vendor yells at me if I don't come to him for advice first.
