so im swaping out my cracked 53block. got the new one ready to go back in and im wondering if i can get away from these dam trans cooler lines... is there an after market cooler i can buy that can take the place of the stock stuff? it would be nice to just get rid of the the cooler off the side of the motor.. any ideas??

You can get rid of the cooler on the side of the block. Then just make lines to go to your existing cooler in front of the IC

will that keep it cool enough? im guessing 600hp.. mild twin setup 200hpsticks full goerend trans..

I would NOT get rid of the cooler, think about it this way, heat up a piece on steel with a torch, whats going to cool better dropping it in a bucket of water or waving it aroung in the air?

I run a derale cooler with fan underneath the bed, I'd say it works to cool it. Had to remove the cooler b/c of twins.

i know your tuck make good power how cool does your trans run?

With the double deep trans. pan and the derale..at byron it never got above 225, except when the "issue" at the line happened. LOL I haven't seen it go past that really. I'm thinking about running 2 coolers in line to keep it cooler.
