Well my trans is in limp. Stuck in 3rd, wont shift up or down. I can force it to shift down with the shifter though. Also TC doesn't lock, and it won't lock with the switch either. So am I screwed or what? Been like this for a few days now. Oh and fluid level is good.

Read the codes and see what is wrong. You could jumper the tranny relay, and see if that give you back your gears.

You need to see what the codes are so you know what to replace.

if you have the digital odometer cycle the key 3 times and look up the codes that come up on teh odometer

Unhooked the batteries and cleared everything to see if it's a one time glitch yet?

Have you messed around with v/b or anything transmission wise lately? Check your governor pressure. That's the most common thing that throws these into limp mode.

Nope, good idea thanks.

Unhook everything then touch the driver side cables together for at elast 45 seconds. This will do the same thing as leaving them unhooked overnight. After doing it don't forget to reset the APPS.

No codes, at least according to auto zones crappy little scanner. I don't think it was reading transmission codes, just PCM. And I unhooked both batteries for about 2 hours. Still in limp. Now what?

do you have a pressure lock on the tranny? I now that was the cause of mine going into limp mode. when it would lock the computer behind the air intake would read it as to much pressure and put it into limp mode. I called dave and he sent me a volatge limiter box and it fix the problem. my be try that. Again another happy costumer of goerend and the great customer service!

My VB came with the tiny little box that you wire into the comp. behind the air intake, like 2 or 3 wires can't remember, if thats what your talking about.

The box I have is the pressure lock? Or the volatge limiter box?

I think I'll call Dave tomorrow.

If its not electrical its governor pressure. Pull the solenoid and see if its stopped up with trash. It doesnt take much to stick the little valve inside. DJM makes a pretty cool conversion to a GM epc solenoid.

the pressure lock is something that dave puts on the tranny. its acutator that functions off of boost psi. once the boost gets to 10psi the acutator will lock the trann. that is a veag description of how it works I aint 100% on the exact science of how it works, but it is ran off of boost. the little box you have is the volatge limiter. essentially it fools the computer to thinking that it is reading factory pressure in the tranny. but calling dave will most likely answer your question.

this is the pressure loc
