trans shift hunting automatic

trans will upshift and quickly shift back to the lower gear sometimes,trans serviced every 12-15000 miles,and allservice updates performed. vhicle has 64,000 miles,oen trailer tow for 2500 miles.warranty until 2-2014 o 85,00 miles,suggestions?

What year is the truck? There are a couple threads about this problem but not much. I have the same damn thing and it's annoying.

Here are the parts I'm planning on replacing in mine to hopefully fix the problem.

Trans is stock and had dealer update for the 1- 2. 2- 3. Shifts

Unplug the the alternator and see if the problem goes away.

Theres a presure switch inside the valvue body that causes it sometimes

I've seen people replace their governor solenoid to the new Bosch units and it sometimes fixed it, others I have seen upgrade their valve body with a Goerend, Suncoast, ATS, etc... and they claim their hunting stopped. Just food for thought.
