I just got a pretty good deal on a 2001 2wd 24v automatic. The torque converter was locked up, so I purchased a single disk converter from TCS and installed it over the weekend. The truck shifted great while the converter was locked and didnt seem to have any issues (Other than being locked up all the time). While I had the trans out, I increased the line pressure (7 turns counter clockwise) and adjusted the TV (1/2 turn clockwise). I also adjusted the bands.

When the truck is cold it drives and shifts great. When it warms up, the truck will not downshift into first during deceleration or stops. In drive it seems like it will take off in third gear. If I manually put it in first it seems like it starts off in second gear. What could be the issue?

Thanks!

You can buy Borg Warner from O'reillys,
There are other threads about upgrading to a Chevy solenoid.
Your choice.

Also check TV cable adjustment now that you turned the screw.
