Trans swap?

Im looking to do a tranny swap from my auto to a NV4500, will I need to change driveline lengths? Is a 47RH, 47RE, and NV4500 all the same length and are the NV4500's the same length from 1994 to 2002?

What year's your truck? 2WD or 4X4?

NV4500's are all the same length.

47RH and 47RE are the same length.

NV4500's are different lengths than autos.

Driveshafts are different lengths.

Output shafts are different.

NV4500's use one more pedal than an auto.

NV4500's have a big stick coming out of the floor.

I just pulled a 47RH/DLD in favor of a NV4500/DHD combo. My stock driveshaft was not even CLOSE, as in it didn't even touch the output shaft of the transfer case. The OD units on RE vs RH are different:

OK. So I was wrong between the 47RH and 47RE.

I did forgetone other improtatnt difference, NV4500 uses a clutch, auto don't.
