Transfer case fluid..

What goes in this leaky SOB? ATF+3 or ATF+4? Synthetic worth the extra money?

I will be draining the transfer case in the morning and refilling it but want to make sure it gets what it needs because I'll be putting 500+ miles on it Tuesday...

ATF4 is synthetic. Has always worked fine for me.

If you are trying to track down the leak anytime soon, it is most likely the plug at the rear of the slip yoke. I chased my tail for 2 years before I finally gave in and replaced it, even changed Tcases all together. Oh well, got a DHD in it now lol
