What transfer case is going to be the best to hold up. Im looking for my motor to be somewhere in the 800 hp range. It will be a dmax in a 97 chevy 2500. I got a 205 in it now with a 350 gasser. Im pretty sure that the 205 wont hold up to the torque like i am being told it will. This truck is going to be build to run up north so i need something that the northerns will accept

The ratio isn't as low with the 205.. but its all gear to gear reduction.. most of the others are chain drive... the 1st gen dodges had that case... Many of the gassers pullers are running the 205 case.. Others are using the 271 T case...

We have had luck with NP200's in mud trucks. You can get them cheap at a military surplus and they are a little tougher than 205's, not sure what they came in

If you are going to the trouble of putting a rockwell in you should go with a profab
