anyone know if not having a cam and crank sensor with cause my tranny not to shift? thanks. i put a 12v in my truck and everything works but the tranny not shifting.

47re..i didnt change any of that but i hooked my TPS up so all that would pull back with the throttle and its still not working?

stuck in first?? whats it doing. If your not getting correct voltage to the Gov. pressure silenoid it will be stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear limp mode with no lockup.

when i put it in drive it goes to third gear, but i can manually shift it and no od or anything. so how do i figure out correct voltage?

Do you have a built valve body in the trans., if so your going to need a voltage regulator. Voltage sould be between 4.6 - 4.7

nah its stock for now. im gettin pissed with all this and thinkin about just havin a RH built or im hoping when my other motor gets done the crank sensor is what its lacking to make the TPS work. foudn out that with no crank sensor my altenator wont charge and the AC compressor wont come on how crazy is that. so i wired an external voltage regulator up and im not worried about AC right now but thats an easy fix.

also, fill the trans up with john deere hygard fluid! that shyt is sweet, that is what i'm running in my rebuilt trans

it increases the pressure to the t/c and it allows the clutch packs to engage quicker (much firmer shifts) and since there is much less slipping, there is much less friction, which equates to less heat

not to throw this thread off i was also thought about jd oil in my trans is hygaurd or low vis hi gaurd because that is about the same as atf i would be interested to know.
