truck keeps dying

i was driving and my truck started sputtering like it was out of fuel, but i still had 3/4 of a tank. then when i tried to restart it, it ran for a second then died again. I started it once more and it ran fine. I think maybe my liftpump is going out, any ideas??
 
Dead VP44...... Is the lift pump working?
 
I just replaced the VP44 pump, and my lift pump doesn't sound like its running when the key is in the on position.
 
You need a new LP yesterday. And a FP gauge.

Hopefully you didn't hurt the new VP.
 
Bump the starter and crack open the fuel filter canister. That's one way to tell if your LP is working at all. Also, have you pulled codes?
 
sounds like a cam position sensor. should be a code for it if not it wouldnt hurt to just replace it. its a cheap part that will stump a lot of trucks.
