Truck runs better all of a sudden?

Alright I've been having some issues with my truck not running as smooth as it used too and not having as much power and it runs a little different day to day it seems like. All of a sudden I start it up today and everything seems the same but it's got way more power then usual? Throttle response seems way better, it revs out a lot better and and the exhaust even barks louder when it spools up? Temps have been about the same around 20 degrees the last week or so and i haven't messed with anything because it's been too cold out. It's just weird how it will change just like that. Anybody have any ideas about what could be goin on with my truck? Any input would be great thanks

How old is the VP? Could be timing piston getting stuck. Check your wire tap for the Edge. Check your grounds. Check battery connections and also underhood fuseblock connections.

I put a reman vp on last fall from schied. Ive checked the comp box a few times. I haven't looked for any other loose connections yet. I did find the ground for the PCM just hanging there a few months ago and put it back on, didn't notice any change but could that have messed something up? It was like that when I bought the truck and I didn't notice it for like a year and a half after that
