Driving truck today and the truck won't rev past 2k. Truck takes off from idle and drives great till you hit 2k and then the motor just lays over and wont gain any more rpm's. I was wondering what could cause this. There are no codes showing on the truck. I'm thinking APPS but not sure since no codes. If anybody has any ideas, it would be appreciated.

My guess would be your i/p. Do you have any white smoke? Sounds like another victim of the dead pedal plauge.

Could also be a fuel supply issue, like a weak/dead lift pump or plugged filter. Being a VP, I'd lean towards ip though LOL

Fuel pressure gauge is showing a steady 15 psi from a Fass 150. No white smoke from truck and injection pump is only a year old. And I thought that the pump would trigger codes?

Bad ip wont always trigger a code. My grandfathers went bad and never once threw a code. New vp or old vp. They can fail at the drop of a hat no matter the circumstance.

Update: I filled the truck with fuel today and it seems to be back to normal now. 30 minute drive home with no problems and truck would rev over 2k. The fuel level went from just under 1/4 tank to full tank. Truck has original fuel pick-up in tank. Could this have caused my problem? If so its an easy fix!

Maybe you just had some bad fuel. If it stopped i wouldnt worry about it until it happens again! LOL
